Demcoratic Alignment

The Cypriot Democratic Alignment, known in Greek as Dimokratiki Parataxi, is a political party in Cyprus that emerged from the historical roots of the island's socialist and progressive movements. It is the successor to the Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL), which has a long-standing presence in Cypriot politics, particularly known for its communist and socialist ideology. The Democratic Alignment, however, represents a broader spectrum of the left, aiming to unite various progressive elements within Cypriot society.

The party's values are deeply rooted in the princ…  iples of social justice, equality, and the protection of workers' rights.
